Join club members for a shoot of the night sky
This event is highly weather dependent, so be sure to register and check email for confirmation and possible rescheduling to a later date in March.
We plan to set up around sunset, 7:00pm, and start taking pictures at 8:30pm. Bring a portable chair and cold weather gear.
In addition to your camera, you will need: a telephoto lens with an effective focal length of 200mm or greater, a tripod, and an intervalometer function either in your camera or your remote release.
Object: Orion Nebula (M42) in the sword of Orion. It is a good target because it is bright and can be seen by eye. You can take as little as a few
minutes total exposure up to 30 min or more. As an example: A 10 minute shoot at 2.5 seconds per image would create about 240 images. We’ll
